Chris Hall would never imagine that purchasing a new Cal 29 Sailboat was a life changing catalyst for him. That was 1968 and Chris Hall had just ordered a Cal 29 Sailboat. Though it was never clear that the new Cal 29 Sailboat was his or one of his friends, it was his friends that had started goading him into boat dealership.

By that time Chris Hall was already an established food broker. Operating this food brokerage business in the strongly agricultural and food producing Norfolk surely had offered Chris Hall the best circumstances for his business. Boat dealership was bit off and unnecessary. The only problem was that Chris Hall felt a special calling, towards boat dealership. Being reared in parts of Tidewater and Virginia, Chris Hall was no stranger to boats. And soon enough, Bluewater Yacht Sales was born within the year 1968.

Since that time in 1968, Bluewater Yacht Sales has grown from a local Hampton Virginia yacht shop to a multinational business that has sees impressive scope.
