Mega Yachts

Mega Yachts

They say that when Hollywood celebrities are in the mood to spend cold cash, they will not think twice of splurging in extravagance. Well of course, what will they do with the millions of dollars they can earn in just a single film when they just hoard it somewhere? They worked real hard for the money so they have this notion of obtaining a thing that will grant them total relaxation after months of grueling shootings. One of the best examples that plenty of A- list actors and actresses would opt for as vacation spree is mega yacht.

Mega yachts have existed for many decades now. Among the most popular in the Golden Age of tinsel town is Christina O who was bought by a Greek entrepreneur, Aristotle Onassis. After the major renovation was done, the vessel was able to host the likes of Eva Peron, Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra. Political bigwigs were also welcomed such as John Kennedy and Winston Churchill. At present, stellar names of Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, "Material Girl" Madonna and renowned fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger were all able to step on to the luxury liner for a staggering $600, 000 each week.

Aside from those notable personalities, Russell Crowe also had his own share of experience in mega yachts in the eventful day of April 2003. After exchanging "I Do's" with wife Danielle Spencer, the newlyweds were off to the Kimberly Region in Australia employing the one- hundred feet long Mustique. According to Mark Buckingham, the manager of the craft, Crowe and Spencer had a grand time together since they were distance away from the watchful eyes of the paparazzis making their honeymoon very much memorable.

Travel boat broker Hansel Sneed said that more and more Hollywood celebrities are captivated in having their vacation utilizing mega yachts. She said that the thrill behind beach resorts will always exist but what disturbs every A- list actor and actress is that the minute they leave their respective abodes, their privacy is in danger. She also added that when they are in a luxury liner, they are assured that there will be nobody trying to intrude in spoiling their holiday because the crews are always expected not to give information on who they are sailing with.

So the instance you see mega yachts docking on the harbor, be vigilant because Mr. and Mrs. Smith or better known as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, might both stand on the aft deck looking out intently.
